Anyone own one, what the advantages and disadvantages, do they work well with different speakers

Have tried mine thro' a GM20 greenback as well as a V30 and prefer the greenback sounds. As for the amp -I prefer the tones of my Cornford Harly....

Not really if you consider the cost of a cab for the TT. The TT I tried sounded pretty harsh tbh but I did use it through a 1960.

I love my TT!

It's not great for clean, my valveking beats it hands down at that, but it loves to get dirty.

I bought an orange 1x12 which uses the G12K-100 speaker, I think they work very well together (they should really).

All I can say is get to a shop and try one, I did and bought it a week later :)

My TT is on the way!  :D

I'm going to get the Orange 1 x 12 next month.  If I'm not happy with the 100W speaker (which seems a bit over-spec'd for a 7W/15W amp, but what do I know) I'll change it for a Greenback (as recommended by Twinfan, I'm a novice to this amps and speakers business).

I did consider the Minimat and Little Rock, but I read some mixed comments about the Minimat (although I forget now what they were!     ) and the Little Rock has far too many knobs - I wanted something really simple.

+1 on Greenback

I prefer Rola G12-65 with it though over 12M25.

In the shop was an Orange 2x12 which was also very nice with it.

I like the sound of my 1x12 but I'm new to this, and have been considering getting a Vintage 30 as that is what Orange put in their 2x12 and 4x12's, heh and truth be told I'm considering just buying a 2 or 4x12 :)

played the TT against the grainger blues thing, a fallen angel(which broke), a valve king head (which had a dodgy valve), a spider valve.

The TT was first through a valve king 4x12, then through a marshall 2x12 sounded great through both

TTs are great!  Not too sensitive to speakers as they sound good with all the speakers I've tried them with.

Mine rocks through my V30/G12 Heritage 4x12   :guitar4:

+1, or tone in the middle to mellow out a little.

I have one question.

Is it loud enough on stage?
Title: Tiny Terror
Post by: Twinfan on October 19, 2007, 11:41:49 AM
It's just loud enough for me at rehearsal with the 'DC band.  Loud drummer, loud rhythm guitarist.  I wouldn't gig with it though - not enough volume.

Depends how loud your band is  ;)

It won't be loud enough for you  :)
