So I just stuck a mothers milk set into my strat, and the bridge pickup pops when the cover, pole pieces or mounting screw is tapped. Now I didn't expect this, be it my fault or a fault in the pickup somewhere? I wired it in correctly and the pickups sound AWESOME. But this popping is really annoying.
Already emailed the tech@bkp thing, but hoping someone here can diagnose things quicker so I can get this bad boy set up properly. And a shop will rape my ass in tech fees for something I can wire in myself.

And after a phonecall to the amazing Tim I'm sorted. Twas my mistake that Tim helped rectify.
So I can either lock this thread or turn it into a talk about something lovely thread. I like cats. And puppies. I can't decide what I like more though. Cat or dog... the ultimate question.

You've dislodged the zinc plated baseplate as you've mounted the coil to your pickguard. The baseplates are potted onto the pickup but as yours has been moved it has become microphonic hence the popping/handling noise. You haven't damaged the coil at all, you just need to unscrew the coil, reposition the baseplate correctly and screw onto the guard making sure you don't inadvertantly push the plate off again.Once you've done this apply a little heat from your soldering iron to reactivate the wax on the plate(don't go anywhere near the hook up wires though).
If you still get a problem pop it back to me and I'll repot it for you.
