Lol that's a very specific pic posting criteria. Not sure how many responses you'll get with that.
That guitar looks lovely. How much does it weigh? It's hollowed isn't it? How does it sound?
-
That looks awesome, don't know about how many picture replies you will get though haha.

Sounds like a thread you get on Harmony Central, with their 5 billion members who are mostly middle aged guitar collectors. I hate guitar forums. LOVE it here though.
-
indeed, though i'd be very interested in a mini-review. think it was worth the £££?
-
This guitar sounds nice

Very nice 'Paul, my dad is after a lefty standard in the iced t finish, up to a 6 month waiting list though.
Still, I'd love a Les Paul Standard in trans black, saw Gary Moore play one and I actually drooled a little.

I wanted one of these so bad about a year ago. Thanks for opening up old GAS.
Kidding of course, it's a lovely guitar. I really like "dusty" finishes of the standard fadeds.
-
ohhh i wanted one too, but could never afford it, and i wasn't big on the idea of chambering. Hence my nice new Edwards. That is beautiful though!
-
I didn't like the chambered Gibsons at first...
-
I had a really bad example of those.
It looked nice, but I hated it.

Why did you hate that Les Paul?
What year did it came from...2006?
-
Yam...now that's just showing off! I love the faded finishes...wish I could get one as a tokai though

If you are changing the nut - consider getting an earvana one put in - makes the LP sound so much better and much more in tune.
They do a drop in version for a 43mm wide Gibson or a 42mm wide neck (designed for the ESP range).
And they do them in both black and white from a material that is the same as Graph Tech use for their Tusq nuts
Here is one on my own LP

I'm changing the the standard nut with a Graphtech PT-6000. This nut is designed for Les Pauls and hopefully it will make the guitar staying better in tune than before. Everybody who has used a Graphtech nut says it's definately an upgrade, so I'm very curious.

How do you change the nut anyway? It seems to be kinda stuck on there.
Noob question, I know.
-
Honestly I don't know either...

I love these guitars!!! I played one at the Edinburgh Guitarguitar the other day it was a sheer moment of pleasure: the feel, the sound, even the look... just bliss. I played it to try the FOD I bought at the end of the session, through the same model of amp I got at home I and I could do whatever I wanted with the controls on the guitar all sounds were great.
A shame they go for way more that I would either allow myself to spend on a guitar :(
BTW, Nice pics!!!

Replacing the nut isn't too hard. Just get an exacto-knife and use it to detach anything sticking to the nut on both sides of it. Then line up something small and hard (like a small metal rod) with the nut on one side, then gently tap it out sidways with a hammer. Once it's out a little, just grab it with pliers and pull it out. Easy peasy :)
I'm a Graph Tech fanboy, so I'm behind you on the trem-nut installation! ;) But if Earvana use TUSQ material on their nuts, then it's worth a peek...
