I like thick mids, tight low end, an organic tone (if you see what I mean)...I need a lot of gain but not OTT. I want little noise and no feedback (er... obviously)... aside from that I'm not too picky. Marshall voiced more so than Boogie or most things else...

The Metal muff was too thin and buzzy for me, really not a great tone... The Boss stuff isn't great save perhaps for the ML2 and that's pretty much everything we have around here. So any suggestions, if possible under 150 USD are welcome! Thanks!

Too expensive for me...I had a Crunchbox which was brilliant but couldn't really do metal.

Too expensive and there are none around here anyway... Never heard clips either. That and Krank is associated with Dime and well, I don't like his tone at all :lol: Nor the whole image whoring.

Weird question, but if you find a pedal you like the sound of but can't yet afford, why not save up a little while longer and get the 1 that sounds best to you rather than just 'settle' on 1 you can afford right now?

in which case, put what you were going to spend on a pedal now in a bank and get a teeny tiny bit of interest on it. If there's one thing I've learned about buying guitar stuff, it's that there's *no point* in buying something that you know isn't quite what you want but is something that you can afford at the minute.

I have a feeling others may have learned this, too!

Meh. My accounts have no interst... or well, about .01%. Seriously not worth anything, it'd take me years :lol:

I have 60 pounds now for it. It won't last. That's the whole situation. So far I've never been able to afford any real great gear. Plexitone I got in a trade for some old pickups, the other stuff is dirt cheap. My guitars are amazing but 20 years old and as such, were dirt cheap too. It's not that I don't want to wait and save up, it's just that I can't. I simply can't afford anything too expensive, I have barely any disposable income.

And second: I don't actually KNOW of any other distortion pedals, even more expensive, that I'd want right now :lol:
