Very sad, but after 170 hours of gameplay I have finally defeated every boss in FFXII. A good game ultimately made tedious by the ridiculous amount of time it takes to get past some bosses, and the fact that without buying a guide (or going to a FAQ site) you basically have zero chance of finishing the game in full.

Anyways, I'm free of it now ... a good 4 hours of guitar played today and fingers are sore rather than thumbs. Good to be back :)

Question: how do you know you defeated EVERY boss without a guide? (Just curious) Also, did you capture every esper? I think that's certainly doable at about the 140 hr mark.

Did you join the Hunt Club and defeat every mark, too?!

Did you do all the side quests and get all the legendary weapons, or at least get the Zodiac Spear?

If you did, my hat is off to you and I bow before your FF mightiness. It took me about 160 hrs to fully complete the game.

I agree about the tedius fighting system. I thought that the last couple of bosses, with + 8 MILLION hit points each, were just ridiculously silly battles!!

I never got into the series, find them really boring and would rather play an rpg like Oblivion where the fighting isnt turn based.

I lasted 24ish hours into FFXII before giving up cos it's pointless. I had no idea what was going on, at all. 'oh! we will go here for answers! no wait, answers are HERE!' blah. Awful game.
