I have an ibanez RG5EX1 and im wondering if i need f-spaced pickups because of my floyd rose locking trem. I see the term f-spaced every now and then and from what i understand it is for guitars with a locking tremolo

Yep, you need the wider 53mm spacing for a Floyd. That's just for the bridge pickup, all the neck models are 50mm.
"F-spaced" can mean either Floyd or Fender - vintage-style Fenders have really wide string spacing too.
