Usually I'd say black dogs, but since you used the phase "britt blues rock" i've just got to recommend you the crawler, as that's the phrase used to describe it! It all comes down to how much output you'd prefer really; but both are based on the PAF in the end.
welcome to the forum.
LOVING the Mules!

If you don't want a high output pickup, which neither Jimmy Page or Gary Moore use, then I would recommend the PG Blues set.  It nails all the classic early blues tones (Peter Green, Paul Kossoff), but can drive an amp nicely and crunch with clarity.
So many pickups, so little time

Mules are always a good idea :) I have a set in my Epi LP and they sound really good for most styles of music. Heres a clip of me (badly) playing some Zep songs with my LP and Laney - http://www.netmusicians.org/files/70-zep%20medley.mp3

Probably would sound a bit brighter in your LP as mine has an alder cap instead of maple.

I would go with a calibrated set of Stormy Mondays.  Moore and Page both use low output p'ups and I know Moore uses Alnico II p'ups, like the SM.  Or mules if you want a bit more power.
BKPS: Cryogenic Apache set, Mule set, Riff Raff, Stormy Monday.
