Pups for a Tele?
« on: December 17, 2007, 05:27:28 PM »
Hey everyone I love how Tele's play but my only concern is the bridge pickup doesn't fit with my style. I like how the American Tele's look with the 3-tone sunburst too (not a fan of the Deluxe style) but I wanted to put a humbucker in the bridge but I'm not sure I want to do through with the routing cause I'm new to that sort of thing. Is there a BKP for a tele (bridge position) that would suit my needs or should I just go through with the routing and throw a Rebel Yell that I'm sure will work perfectly?

I play Hard Rock/Modern Rock along the lines of Tool, APC, Coheed and Cambria, Chevelle, Thrice, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!

route it out and get a new bridge plate with a humbucker sized hole... it sounds like thats really going to give you more of what you want better than any tele bridge pickup will
