Nailbomb or warpig?
« on: December 27, 2007, 10:49:06 PM »
hey
I am new to the forum but I have looked through quite alot of the sound clips for both pickups

I am looking for a pickup for the bridge position of a jackson king V (old spec, string through an alder body)

I use this particular guitar to play hard rock/ thrash through a 6W cornford harlequin. band website is www.myspace.com/redlightrebels

I have listened to clips for both pickups but I cant decide wether I would be better off with a nailbomb or a warpig, as I will need to have a reasonable clean tone as well as a powerful distortion

any advice would be greatley appreciated

I and another guy "neemo" (search this thread have been up lately).... on this forum just just ordered a ceramic Warpig for our Jackson nechthru us guitars. Hes Ran guitar is like your V.

I already  have the nailbomb  in my other guitar RR1 and it sounds great  works for thrash but id say Warpig for that guitar or a Painkiller depending how much mids you need  8) ?.  I cant speak for the Painkiller though.... but i have read good reviews of it here...anyone else?
