Trilogy or Sinner Bridge Pup for Ash Strat?
« on: December 28, 2007, 03:04:47 PM »
As the title states I'm soon to be the owner of a new Lite Ash Strat but I'm not sure which of the above would suit it better.... Its mainly for smooth hi-gain leads. I want to avoid ice-picky highs... I'm using an Engl Fireball and tune to C#.

Or do what I done, stick a Holydiver in the bridge. Thick as you want.

The Trilogy is like a P90 apparently, and the Sinner is ridiculous, do a search in the Players forum, some awesome  Sinner tracks available.

Oh and go for a baseplate. An extra £5 gives you more bottom end, without compromising highs and mid.

I know it screams, but what's the tone like on that bad boy Dave? It thick and meaty or does overwinding add highs?

Well I have an Engl Fireball so I really don't need it overwound'as I have plenty of gain on tap already! Plus its for recording purposes. Any sound clips of the sinner in the Lite Ash?

The tone has nothing ice-picky about it at all. Just a very clear but intense amount of power.

It really comes alive with gain as clean it sounds slightly compressed.

Don't worry I oly planned to use it with gain    Also, can anyone foresee a problem with downtuning? I tune down to C#.

 +1, or make it HSS, but that subtracts from the mojo, so you cant win really :P

I had a Trilogy bridge in my strat and it was ok but recently put my BG v60 custom back into the bridge position and it was much fatter and warmer. PM if you want more info about the BGs as its probably not right to advertise them more than I allready have here!
