« on: January 17, 2008, 11:21:23 AM »
9 fret on the g string is buzzing like crazy but nowhere else on the fret board has this problem. it ony stops when the action is super high. it can everywhere else on the fretboard can get rally low but just thast one note buzz really bad.

should i relive the neck some or try changing saddles maybe?

or take the neck off and start a bit of a project?

Sounds like it's probably a high fret which has lifted out of its slot a little.  You should be able to see it if you sight down the neck.

You might be able to just tap it back into place, but if the slot's too wide the fret'll pop out again.  Wez or Feline will be able to advise what to do if that happens - it's a bit beyond me.

i would take it to a tech.  usually easy to fix but the source of the problem can vary and  they should be able to spot it easier.  What you can do is check for high frets with a short stright edge that you can place on 3-4 frets at a time and try to rock it over the frets
