2. David Gilmoure
3. Angus Young
4. Hendrix
5. Randy Rhodes
6 Glen Tipton
7. Jimmy Page
8. Joe Perry
9. Richie Blackmore
10 Zakk Wylde

Why I didn't include:

1.Steve vai - This is what a computer would sound like if it were programmed to play guitar.
2Slash - Yes his stuff was cool; but same sound same pentatonic solos ? Saw him at the hammersmith and was totally underwhelmed - the other guy from VR seriously played the better solos!

Don't get me wrong i'm not slating him; but there is such a thing as over engineering.

It all just sounds a bit to clinical to me.
