I need to cut some ash with a hand saw (long thing). Any advice on getting a clean cut? I`m shite at woodwork.

what are you aiming to achieve, what types of saw do you have, how thick is the wood, is the ash heavy ask like a baseball bat or light ash like is best for guitars???

Gotta make a water feature for school. It's rather heavy!! It's a long floppy saw, no idea what it's called.
