Wiring schematic for Ibanez 5 way switch
« on: March 01, 2008, 08:54:13 AM »
i am looking to have my Ibanez s540 with CS neck and NB bridge wired like this:
1: neck HB
2: neck split with INNER coil single
3:inner/inner coils of bridge/neck
4:bridge split with INNER coil single
5:bridge HB
The guitar was wired this way before except the outer coils of the HBs were tapped, but I want softer single coil sounds

I took it to a tech with these plans, and he did'nt understand the BK color codes.  He gave it back for today with plans for  me to bring back a schematic ,in color if possible, but he wired it up so far this way:

1:neck HB sounds like a cheap ,thin trebly single Bridge p/u
2:I forgot, after the shock
3:slightly ok louder hb sound
4: nosound!
5: bridge sounds like a neck HB  oh and lots of hum! on all!

I opened it up, and he didn't even use the green /white wires to connect to switch!  Duh!, even I know you gotta solder em somewhere!

Needless to say I am not taking it to back to him, but could someone please post a color schematic, BK style for the desired config?  Thanks!

I'll answer my own post cuz I found out from Tim

BKP black = IBZ blue
BKP white = IBZ white
BKP green = IBZ black
BKP red = IBZ red
