Need help from Hellraiser 7 string owners!!!!
« on: March 18, 2008, 11:52:04 PM »
Hi guys,

Im wanting to replace the EMG 707's in my Hellraiser with Miracle Man pickups. Im just wanting advice from anyone whos done this conversion from active to passive pickups. Did you need to get a special pickup ring? What is involved? Is it even possible? Any advice would be appreciated as Ive been trying to find out information but Im still in the dark!!

Cheers

Eric

Frets on the Net has pickup rings for the conversion. Go to their website and e-mail them.

Other then getting the rings I think the conversion is pretty straight forward.

You'll want to replace the pots aswell since I'm pretty sure that Active pickups use 1M pots. Might be wrong though.

They use 25k pots, so yes they'll need replacing.
I see a rainbow rising
Look there on the horizon
And I'm coming home
