I bought a scalloped neck stratocaster from Denmark Street about year ago now. I never liked the bridge pickup so after a while of thinking of what to do, I finally thought of making it look like an 80's shred machine. So I bought a Black scratch plate and SD JB trembucker and a router. Here's the result

Before:

after:

I done all the wiring myself and there doesn't seem to be any issues. So I'm quite proud about that. My Dad helped me out with the routing though.

Don't know why but it makes me think of Jake E Lake. Nice job man

I see you were lazy on the screwing back on of the scratchplate, lol..

I like the color of the Strat. Does it play as you wanted it to? :)

Well it doesn't play as nice as my other Strat. But the other Strat has huge frets, sanded neck and I've had it since I was 14 so I'm used to it more. But it does play great and sounds good too.

I might do that in the near future. Wondering whether a ceramic magnet or Alnico V though. The ceramic magnet Holy Diver worked well for me last time but that was in a Mahogany Bodied RG that I don't have anymore

+1 for the Jake E Lee association.

I like it.  You don't really see scalloped necks around much these days, do you?

the scallop on this neck is similar to the Blackmore signature Strat which seems to be nicer feeling than the Malmsteen Strat. Malmsteens strats have very deep scallops, too much for me.

The Jake E Lee thing is cool, it's the kind of look I was going for. Considering putting a Floyd rose on it at some point too.
