Diago Power supply
« on: May 02, 2008, 11:01:06 PM »
Today I was really excited to hear that my Diago Power supply had arrived when I got in from rehersing for 4 hours in my band 'The Scrotes'

I bought a Pedal Train 2HC in the week so now I have all 7 pedals connected on there

anyhow.. I tried plugging everything in, all of my 7 pedals are all the same polarity so no issues should occur, I checked all the leads are working fine.

In the end I phoned up Diago to ask for advice and spoke to man called James. We went through everything with me step by step, checking everything was working. He told me once we had finished checking that mine was the only one out of 3000 units that has failed, the only one he has ever heard of failing, we triple checked everything, mine is the first dud one! lol

He was very helpfull and he said he'd send me a new one, and not only that he said he'd send me 2x 6 way deluxe daisy chain leads (the right angle ones) for free, as he was feeling very guilty that it wasn't working.

So the good news is that I've got an amazing the new pedal board and the bad news is that I can only use 1 pedal at once. lol

oh and it's a bank holiday monday so will take even longer to get here

ahh the joys of guitaring.

anyone else had problems with the Diago Powerstation or is it just me?

I bought a Power Station myself a while ago.

The unit itself powered everything fine, but for some reason unknown to myself and James @ Diago, it was creating earth buzzing/humming from my pedalboard.

He spoke to his manufacturers about the issue and then sent me a new version of the Power Supply about a week later. The new version cured all the noise issues and it now currently lives on my board with no issues :)
Selling lots of gear, enquire within!......

I use the identical Switch mode power supply (not bought from Diago, but elsewhere a bit cheaper) on my board, and have done for nearly 2 years with no problems.
