Coil Split Les Paul - 2 Conductor Mules
« on: May 06, 2008, 04:43:14 PM »
Since I've been searching for that vintage Les Paul tone I ordered a couple of  2 conductor Mules to drop into my Les Paul Classic. Currently the neck pickup  is wired into a push-pull pot (bridge tone control if that helps) for coil splitting and it seems the bridge pickup has 4 conductors but only has two connected.

Since I'm not interested in keeping the coil split would it be easier to replace the push-pull pot with a standard pot and carry on as normal, or can I connect my Mules to whats already there without too much fuss?

I know I could just take the thing to a tech since I'm an utter novice but how can it be my tone if I don't do this myself? :D
