I wonder if you guys could help. I recently put a set of ferraglides on my MIJ strat, but they are a little wide for the bridge and consequently there is a slight fanning of the strings as they leave the saddles so that the e's actually don't run over the bridge pickup and only begin to overlap the other pups (BK Apaches). Is this going to affect my tone etc. significantly?

I have a similar problem on my LP Studio, as it is a newer one, the bridge is spaced a little wider, so the 2 E strings are slightly off centre.

I havent noticed any change in tone or drop-off of notes.
"What frequency are you getting? Is it noise or sweet, sweet music?"

It may effect tuning stability, it did when I ordered teh wrong set of saddles for my MIJ strat years ago! Graphtec do two or three spacings, for different strats. The MIJ are narrower.

Tone wise your strat will now have the same problem that vintage strats have - so don't worry!
