Ordered some apaches
« on: February 24, 2008, 07:59:18 PM »
After weeks of deliberating between Apaches and Irish Tours I have taken the plunge and ordered a set of Apaches for my '57 reissue strat. Should arrive here by mid next week!

I'm already planning my next BKP related purchase - I haven't told my partner this purchase could be a guitar that needs to be retro fitted with BKPs
I think I hate being indecisive.

I'm sure that you will enjoy them.  Did you get the base plate on any of the pickups? I just ordered a set with the baseplates on all 3 pickups.  I am really interested to see how they sound compared to my normal Apache set.
So many pickups, so little time

Went for the base plate on the bridge. Let me know how you get on with base plates on all 3 as I had considered this.

Congratulations on the purchase Ian. I am sure you will enjoy them. Phil, you will have to let me know what you think of the difference the base plate makes.

Hi Frank, I assume that you are asking me. I have a set of Country Boys in my MIM tele. One word: excellent!. Classic Tele.Turned a reasonable guitar into a great sounding one. I have played up back to back with a friends old ( and I mean old) Tele and mine is very very close.
