Cold Sweat Neck and Bridge Soundclip
« on: March 18, 2009, 10:25:16 AM »
I put this together last night for some fun & to see how 'John Sykes' I could get with a set of Cold Sweats. Great pickups!

Good job! I think you nailed that pretty well  :D

As you may have taken from my nickname I am a John Sykes fan.

Thanks for your replies guys!

As I say, it was a bit of fun, as I'm a big fan of John Sykes. It was recorded it on my home setup, which is an elderly Mac running Logic Express, using all the onboard drum samples and stuff with a POD (also pretty old!) in 'Rectified' mode. I've found a bit of low shelving and a little presence boost makes it more life-like and chunky, with less of the boom. The guitar sounds sweeter thorough a real amp though -oh, for a Boogie Studio Pre-amp..!

Cheers!

Haha, that's so cool it made me laugh out loud.

Great job!   Even if it is "just" a Pod and some basic software.  Why can't I do that?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Great stuff - very nice indeed. I must admit that I have never heard any John Sykes before!
I think I hate being indecisive.
