Warpig & Nailbomb In My Custom Shop 7-Strings
« on: June 01, 2008, 09:19:15 PM »
I recently tried out my first two BKPs: a Nailbomb and Warpig (ceramic) in my custom Bernie Rico Jr Vixen 7-strings. I absolutely love both of them. They sound unique but both suit my style perfectly.

The Nailbomb is so thick, juicy, punchy, aggressive, organic, and just addictive to play. The Warpig is just all out brutality, bite, roar, big tone - but not overly compressed or thin at all. The WP is so responsive and fun to play as well. Both of these pickups are works of art in my opinion.

I can't wait to try out more models (unfortunately I need to buy more guitars just to facilitate that) such as the Holydiver, Painkiller, Emerald, etc. I'm really proud to be a BKP dealer, my friends from the UK told me I'd love these and they were not kidding! Thanks Tim, I've been waiting for these pickups for 10 years! \m/

Quite modern, but I like it.
The intonation saddles look like they are in a straight line  :o

Hey. Enjoyed your reviews on ss.org. I really like the look of those chrome allen bolts on the Warpig. Looks classy and brutal at the same time.

Just must be an odd angle, because it's intonated perfectly. I just set it a few weeks ago :)

Looks really good! Why not try a BK neck pickup in the white one? :D

By the way, what are your pickup rings made of?
They look similar to some I have which I think are stained rosewood because of the grain pattern but may actually be ebony.
I see a rainbow rising
Look there on the horizon
And I'm coming home

Oh yeah, the Duncan Jazz that's in there now isn't going to stay for long. I'm going to be ordering a neck pickup for it along with the rest of my BKP orders shortly. I'm leaning towards the Warpig neck model just so it'll look the same (although I'm sure he could make anything with those screws, but whatever).

As for the pickup rings, I really dont know, they're the ones Seymour Duncans come with I believe. :)
