Was at hyde park all of yesterday at a gig (not mandela's birthday one), and saw Robert Randolph, John Mayer and last but by no means least Eric Clapton, as well as a few other people (jason mraz and cheryl crow  ).
Robert Randolph was absolutely brilliant, much better than i thought he would be. He opened with voodoo chile (slight return) on his pedal stell :o . I was expecting alot more from John Mayer to be honest, his performance was reasonable, but jsut not as good as i was hoping. Eric was the real surprise to me though, i wasn't sure whether he would still have it after so many years, but he certainly does. He did a cover of Curtis Mayfield's 'Here But I'm Gone' and the solos were just sooo good, it was unbeleivable, and of course he did all of his big hits like layla, wonderful tonight and crossroads. The latter of which he had Robert, Cheryl and John come back on and play as the finale 8)
