and a hole for a toggle switch

For coil splitting, or are you adding a neck pickup?

won't be adding that neck pickup ;)

i worked out this little trick... not even a trick really:

on single pickup guitars the only thing I miss is the ability to set two voices which you can select between quickly with a switch - clean with the volume rolled down, and dirty with the volume maxed out. so i add a switch which toggles between the output of the pickup, and the center output of the pot.

Ah, so pretty similar to Tom Anderson's "blower" switch?  Neat idea.  :)

Sounds like the switch on my single pickup fernandes, it bypasses the tone and volume circuit. So I can use it to switch between full volume to a preset lower volume, or sometimes I use it with the tone rolled down for a pseudo neck pickup tone that simulates having two pickups.

The neck is a little to small for me, but YES! that guitar is very nice in every other aspect

I was really impressed by the V when I played it.  The neck has an awesome feel to it and the 25.5" scale makes it totall different to a regular V.  I like the yellow!
So many pickups, so little time

Quality is the best I have seen from a Gibson in a long time (ok - it's an older one - 1988)
Loved the neck shape and yes the 25.5" scale and maple neck / ebony board made it sound v crunchy.

nice Dean brokencord!

yeah, i still like the v90 alot. the 25.5" scale and maple/ebony neck totally tightens up the sound. shes now fitted with a Holy Diver - 100% the right choice for this guitar. She absolutely nails High&Dry period Def Leppard.

thanks jonothan, will and phil for your compliments :)

maybe she doesn't have the typical V vibe, but i think its a really good interpretation.
