BB Preamp Plus Question

Hey guys I took a look at the Xotic website, and the BB Preamp sounds so good.
I Play a lot of rock like Guns N roses Ozzy Metallica stuff, and I want something good. I am by no means a Metal head, but I do want something that I can play SRV-Early metallica stuff.

Is this pedal good for that. I have the Boss MT2 and I hate it I was messing around with the pedal and it has not warmth or saturation whatsoever.

Depends on your amp I guess?

I have the original BB and its my go to overdrive when I want more gain out of certain amps. I tend to use mine with the volume on max, level tone and bass and just vary the amount of saturation with the drive.
