BBE Stomp Sonic-Hot British users?? Feline I know your out there
« on: September 15, 2008, 01:58:06 AM »
Hey there I am probably going to buy a Hot distortion or a Radial Plexitube ( the two hot British distortion pedals in one box )
I want to be able to switch between distorted rhythms to a lead tone(I want two Distortion channels) . I have a BBE Sonic Maximizer, and I was wondering if it would be necessary for me to invest in the more expensive Radial distortion Plexitube if i have the booster pedal?
I mean what is the difference?? Cant I just kick on my booster during Solos or would it  be better to get the more expensive one? I usually keep my booster on all the time

Can you set each channel to a different setting so you can switch between rhythm and solos? Or do you have to eq it back and forth every time you switch channels?

I dont view the BBe as a booster , and I know what you mean about having it on all the time
The Plexitube is great because it gives you two channels of Marshall like tone , so you have a crunch and a lead channel as well as the amps clean tone.
The Plexitube lets you eq each channel to some extent as well which is another advantage
