Help me choose some pups please.

So, the main problem being too much choice and I'm not too hot on what should go with what wood. I'd be much obliged if someone could help me out.

I'm looking to upgrade a solid mahogany Les Paul, and a basswood Ibby. I'm into people such as Lamb of God, Sikth, Deftones, Bulb and am hoping to coax similar tones out of my setup which atm is a podxt through monitors.

So yeah, something that can bring the metal big time, but I'd also like a really beautiful clean sound if this is possible. What do you guys think would work? Throw me some ideas please.

I'd say Nailbombs for the Ibby.  I think Pin from Sikth used a ceramic Nailbomb and I think Bulb used/uses a Nailbomb and now a ceramic Warpig, not to mention a lot of people have said basswood and Nailbombs go great together.  The Nailbombs also have great cleans.

For the LP I'd suggest something ceramic to cut through the mahogany.  There are quite a few choices so you'll have to decide which output is for you and if you'd like a bright or dark sound.  If I were you I'd try a set of Cold Sweats in there. 

Could you describe the kinds of tones you want to get out of each guitar and maybe what you don't like about the sound you're getting out of them now?  I'm sure some members will have more information for you soon enough and in the end if you send an email to Tim describing what you want, he'll give you a good recommendation.
