I have a les paul with a miracle man set. What would be a  good combo for a HSH, basswood body, maple neck Ibby be? This guitar is tuned  down  a whole step. I'm thinking a painkiller in the bridge. CS neck maybe? Not sure which single for the mid??? This guitar will be used mostly for COB type stuff. I heard the nailbomb set and I LOVE those as well.

the miracle man is definitely the best pup for COB
why don't you try it in that guitar first?
if you like it, you can order a different set for the les paul
my lawsuit les paul and another les paul I had loved the holy diver and the cold sweat better than the miracle man and painkiller
the cold sweat is a great substitute for the miracle man in mahogany
it lost some punch, but the guitar sounds much more alive, with a crunchy but not overloaded midrange like the painkiller
anyway, they all sounded great in both guitars
