I presume you're asking about the upright 2x12"s?  They'd sound good, but they're an awkward size/shape to use with the large chassis Engl heads - not wide enough to stand the amp on top of unless you lie them on their side & quite bulky for 2x12s as well (The E212VH horizontal cab is much better).

The Std cab has Celestion V12-60 "Silver Series" speakers, the Pro cab has Celestion Vintage 30s.  IMO the V60s don't sound bad - they have quite a "scooped" sound though which isn't to everyone's taste.  The Vintage 30s are undeniably better speakers, but I'm not convinced they justify the large price difference.

The Engl description implies that the two cabs are constructed differently, but I don't really buy it - both cabs are very well built & very sturdy.  I think the price difference is a bit of a con - it should be half what it is...

FWIW, I bought a Std 4x12" & swapped out the V60s for 2 Classic Lead 80s & 2 G12K100s.  It's an absolute MONSTER

Scratch this bit - just looked at the prices of the 2x12s & it's only ~£30 difference (which is basically the difference between 2 V60s & 2 V30s).

The difference between the 4x12s is >£200 which is ridiculous & what I was talking about...
