Hi, I write you from Spain because I have a rickenbacker 650 (solid body of walnut) with a Marshall JCM 800 SLP.
I play instrumental music and we play with differents intensitys. Sometimes we re very clean, sometimes we have very gain. We are tuned in D or C (sometimes) and over years, I have a emg81 pickup in my guitar.
I want a pick in the line of the Seymour Duncan JB or the Seymour Duncan Distortion, but I dont know, what BK are the best election for me.

My english is a shite and I dont understand all the information about the pickups.

What pickup I have to buy?? please help me !!

Thanks for all and best whises from Spain

I think the Nailbomb or AlNiCo Warpig (standard warpig) would allow you to hit every tone you could possibly want, but may be a little high output. You could step down the the Vintage Hot output (black dog springs to mind), and use a boost for the heavier stuff. Any BK will give you fantastic cleans, although I suspect a ceramic magnet is not for you, based on your description.

Best bet, as always, is to email or phone Tim who runs BKP. Contact on main webpage. He's very, very helpful!

Go for Nailbombs ! I play in a postrock band and Tim's opinion was to get a set of Nailbombs !! ;) :) You can also hear the sound clips and decide for yourself.Run a search for "Nailbomb" or "Warpig" and see which one suits you best.Although i think the Warpig is way too hot for the music we play...Tim thought so too,but it's all a matter of taste,so listen for yourself and decide :)

Warpig is too compressed for that lot.

Nailbomb is a bit rough for it, IMO (well, not neurosis, but the rest).

I'd say go the othe way and use mules or black dogs or something through a suitable amp.

Correct me if I am wrong but would standard h/bs fit a 650? I don't think they would.
Send three and fourpence we're going to a dance
