I remember reading in another topic for an all-maple guitar that the holy diver might not be the best choise. Reason: it might get too congested in the mids, of which the holy diver has a lot of.
Maple is often thought as a very bright wood (well, maybe the guitar of the topic actually is), but it's actually very midrangy. It tightens the lows..AND it does the same thing to highs. It tightens them.
However, the attack of maple is tight and snappy. I have never owned an all-maple guitar, but I can imagine that the attack is very tight :)
