If anyone had the same idea for a nice guitar, I just found this on eBay, limited run Telecaster.

Looks very nice, but I'll bet the nut width is way under 43mm.

Also made in Korea - doen't mean it's awful, but is a relevant fact to take into consideration about the potential build quality. Also, was made in 2004 - the Koreans did not have their guitar manufacture running quite as smoothly then, as they do now.

I played a set neck one with DeArmonds once.  It weighed a ton!  Other than that it was pretty nice.  It looks interesting and the proce doesn't seem too bad.
