just been setting up a GS Gypsy solid body.
got the action lower, and some gibson pickups from my old GS into this one.
i needed to grind the feet on the legs of the pickups that take the height adjustment screws to get the pickups to fit in the cavity.
why cant the cavity be standard dimensions!
also, the wiring compared to my old GS was terrible! the most messy wiring ive seen!
got the intonation good for all the strings, apart from the bottom E. its still sharp at the 12fret but i cant go further back with the bridge sadle.
nightmare!
still, its better than it was. need the wiring gutting and some BKP's.
this was pretty much just a rant. any thoughts on the intonation. i dont think i can get it any better.
