Tim, about the Sultans.

Hi Tim!
A question about the Sultans (yes, I know they played creol!)

Do you know the spec of the SD Alnico Pro 2, and how does it differ from the Sultans, as I know the sultans are also Alnico 2.

I know of course that the Sultans are hand scatterwound, but is the wire different, and output etc.

Could you discribe the tonal difference please.

Best Regards, Stef.

The Sultans are wound with plain enamel whereas the APIIs are quoted as Heavy Formvar so the tone should be quite different. It's been a long time since I played an APII loaded guitar but I think you'll find their tone closer to the Apache but without the clarity. The Sultans are brighter with a little more bite to them.
