Floyd Rose Special... whats the story on those?
« on: January 24, 2009, 05:00:02 PM »
Was just watching a video from namm that showed a low end LTD with a Floyd Rose Special on it... just looked them up and they're about 70-89 dollars, about the same price the Ping FR's were.

What's the story on these? anyone know? made of butter? ;) i sure hope not...

i've heard on another forum that those are the same things as those FRT-x000 trems which are put on schecters, MIJ Jacksons, Edwards, those new Charvels and the like. Could be wrong, but the guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about. i think they're made in Korea... if true it's incredibly gippy, as all the companies fitting them are describing them as "Original Floyd Rose" trems...
