Not seriously breaking combos here, guys and gals!

So in your experiences how do find head and cab combos? Do the same brands help? Or do you like to mix and match?

 :)

I have a Laney VH100R with a Mac Amplification 2x12 (which we suspect is made by matamp)

No problems, and if i hadn't had this cab already i'd be getting a black-tolex Orange 2x12 instead, as they're apparently awesome and i love the look.

Some manufacturers make great amps, but fall short on the speaker cabinet side of things, there is no shame in using a mixed brand head & cab setup.

It only really matters if your endorsed!

Try as many cabs as you can before you buy. If you have the amp already take it to a decent shop and a/b the cabs, you get a better idea.
