Another Spacing Q (sorry)
« on: January 30, 2009, 06:11:50 PM »
Just wondered which spacing i'm supposed to have with my Ibanez rg3120 Prestige.

I ordered some and read on here somewhere I would need 53mm so that's what i specified on the order form.

They very kindly cut the triangles out for too...Thing is, on the side of the box it says i've got a 50mm

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas? My guitars at home and i'm at my dads so i can't actually install until tomorrow.

Thanks

Jonny

Well you could just get a ruler and measure it. If I understand what your original post is talking about.

Do i measure from the centre of the pole to on each end of the pickup?

Aye, it's pole to pole.

Or you can do the really tedious job which would be installing, re-stringing and look at the strings if they're in line with the pole pieces.

I'm being really stupid!!!

They're both correct.. i was measuring the wrong one there is a 50mm and a 53mm which is correct.

my mistake, case closed.

Can't wait to get them in. I'll post a clip of them installed.

Thanks for your help

anyway in my experience (and many other will confirm it) wrong spacing does NOTHING to tone and sustain...
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)
