And it bucked the Blues Pro out the board. I'm flat broke so I'll actually make a little profit from selling the BP/buying the TO.
They're different pedals though. The BP is an overdrive, while I see the TO as more of a boost pedal which also does a very nice but less characterful, OD. Not saying this is bad at all, I don't mind at all that er, transparence.
I won't comment on the Timmy comparison at all. I loved the TIM when I had one and will get another at some point. That is all.
The TO is a great, great little box, I can't believe how cheap they are, etc... etc.. *insert other cool cat hyperboles there*.
These pedals are right up there in terms of value that's for sure. I have 4, the Vibe, the Metal I, the TO and the Fuzz. The Fuzz is the only one not on my pedalboard (I prefer the LBM). The OD spot on the pedalboard has had a lot of contenders but so far I think the TO is where it's at. It doesn't have a hell of a lot of gain, the EQ works just fine without being overwhelming and it's loud enough to be used as a nice clean boost with volume up/gain down. Hell you can even set it up for a clean sound without volume boost and use it as a buffer, why not. Sure other pedals do this so it's up to you to see which you prefer obviously. But in terms of value this is just incredible.
It also stacks up very well with other pedals.
I have mine set with:
unity volume
gain at 10o'clock
bass at 1:30
treble at 2
It's nice to add a little cut to a LP neck pickup, or to add chunk to a Strat's bridge.
If the Blues Pro was buffered it'd stay on my board as I could use it, but it's a bit redundant now. Still a GREAT little pedal, and more versatile than the TO. Does more things, and some of them better. The TO does less things, but for that particular use I want one, does it better.
