Video Editting
« on: February 18, 2009, 11:42:15 PM »
Does anyone have any experience with video editting? I got a new camcorder and want the best out of it when posting videos.

YouTube being the place in mind, how do people have the 'view in higher quality' link, etc.?

I can't get a good enough quality out of it without having to go really low just to be able to post. Anyone able to help?

I'm currently using a trial version of Vegas.
"Would you like some lemon oil?"
"Oh, no thanks, I don't eat fruit."

ive used final cut pro and adobe premier and a free version of Avid.
i think youtube recompresses anything you put on it. so the higher quality you can start with before you chuck it at youtube the better. recompressing compression video is always nasty really. i dont know how the view higher quality link works.

i can tell you about MPEG though. my day job (and right now) is that i look after the digital compression of all the BBC channels on SKY and Freeview. so right now im in bbc tv centre making sure its all working.
