First impressions Cold Sweat's
« on: April 05, 2009, 08:19:41 AM »
Well me being impatient I rushed my tech into getting my pickups installed before practice today things I noticed clarity, clarity, clarity sound huge and the john Sykes thing is so true! ha, they sound really great and the clean tones i was surprised! amazing for a ceramic prefer it to my stock alnico IV pickups I have to play with the pickup height a little more but overall i love these pups! sound aggressive on chords but smooth on leads, also noticed an organic type of compression hmm.. sounds lovely in a lethal way will post more thoughts after the honeymoon stage.

at first glance i liked them (more the neck unit), but playing a bit with height (i realized i like very high settings!) and playing them with my tube amp i started to LOVE them...
great pickups, and in an SG they're really killers!
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)

Yea if you lower them they loose there clairty very fast! and go from a killer bright pickup to rather dark fast as well still trying to find the right spot!
