8 string (kinda) problems
« on: March 13, 2009, 02:23:08 AM »
I'm gonna get me a 7string soon, but I'm tuning it all the way down to F# standard. The only reason I'm doing this is because I can't afford an 8string (can barely afford a 7). I'm dead set on getting a BKP for the bridge. Was thinking of getting a Cold Sweat, heard a demo of one in an 8string and sounded sweet. But would it sound the same in a 7string?

Btw, the guitar I'm getting is a cheap Schecter Omen7 clone, in case that helps.
If all else fails, blame television.

If and 8 string sounded good with a cold sweat, why would an 7 string tuned like an 8 string sound diffrent?!?!

It'll sound just as good! The only things that will change the sound are your (rather Cheap) guitar and how well your amp can handle a tunig as low as an f#...
