the cold sweat DOES color the natural sound a LOT, if you ask me, it just doesn't change the main voicing of the wood like most of the other models do. no bass or mid boost or cut, but it adds that nice "slightly driven boost" feel, that makes the midrange crunch and the highs a bit brighter and that's what is great about it!

thats what I found the Cold Sweat to be like in my Les Paul, I would still go as far as to say it's my fave BKP - certainly the most fun to play, just the right amount of 'push' and 'screaming midrange'.

That is exactely what I had in mind when I say it doesn't color the natural sound of the guitar...

Anyway thanks for the description of the "midrange crunch" of the CS, this pickup looks very nice !
