Works for me.  I figured the maple would make it bright but with enough mahogany to give the tone some thickness, which ultimately is my goal.  I'm under the impression that maple, while having it's own, distinct, bright and responsive tone, is also very reflective of its body wood.

On paper its a great configuration for that.

I dont know how true about reflecting the body tone, if true at all, would be with a through neck. In a through, the through really dominates the sound - the wings arent incuded in vibration transmission. They colour it slightly, but they arent in that loop strings and whatevers between the nut and bridge.

Well, regardless of the wings, after your advice (and advice from others) i'm pretty damn satisfied with getting warpigs with my configuration.  I appreciate your your help
