Blues and Golds are my favourite speakers.

Fecking expensive though  :(

I thought you had golds! Are they just blues but are rated higher then?

I've got:

* Blue in my 6V6 Deluxe (home practice amp)
* Gold in 6L6 my Deluxe Relic (rehearsal amp)
* Golds in my 2x12 (gigging rig with Doppelganger)

The Golds are designed to be a 50w Blue, and they are very similar.  The only difference I find is that they need more volume than a Blue to work best and get the cone moving.  But you'd expect that, being a higher rated speaker, that the sweet spot is that bit louder......

Wez, how is the Tayden speaker?  Not heard much press about them but they look like Celestions built in the UK but at the cost of the Chinese Celestions?

i am liking it  so far - it seems to suit the amps well. i have pretty much been using 70's greenbacks in my amps before this.  the tayden is very familiar sounding but has a bit more clarity and sparkle and the character of my amps is coming through nicely. it still needs to break in a bit (read as i need to play more) but i couldnt be happpier for the price i payed

Hm, if this is the case, maybe the blue would be better, afterall, AC15s have them, and they're putting out 15 watts?
