miracle man set doing whatever-you-call-it
« on: May 01, 2009, 07:38:04 AM »
my bandmate/tech recorded this with my leadvox tube preamp straight to a interface (a steinberg, I think)
it was a bit SLO based originally (http://youtube.com/watch?v=T1RafxMYU5w), but I modded it for a laney/bogner voicing with a few personal adjustments to retain a bit more tightness and focus
his guitar is a custom A.R. Costa (brazilian mahogany, BR rosewood board, bolt-on neck, gotoh floyd) with my ex-miracle man set

yeah, i liked it before, but it was too open sounding, a bit too hollow and clean on the mids
I wanted that aggressive british midrange crunch
I even got a similar mod on my Framus Cobra
the leadvox is serving as prototype for my next head

Sounds nice, maybe a tad trebley but overall a great metal tone!
