8-String Schecter; need some BKP advice!

Hey everyone. I will soon (within a month or two) buy my first eight string and am going to get rid of the EMG's in it straight away.
Here are the specs:

CONSTRUCTION/SCALE: Set-Neck w/ Ultra Access / 26.5”
BODY: Mahogany
NECK/FINGERBOARD: 3-pc Mahogany / Rosewood
FRETS: 24 X-Jumbo
PICKUPS: 2 EMG Active 808s
ELECTRONICS: Vol(tap)/Vol(tap)/Tone/5-way switch
BRIDGE: Custom Hipshot
TUNERS: Grover Locking

Well, I'm looking for a tone that's a hybrid of Marco Sfogli http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqOomFjGfGg&fmt=18
And Guthrie Govan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yPEewaalik&fmt=18
Something "woody" and organic.
I know most of their tone comes from their fingers, but I just want I kick start in the right direction.  :lol:
Personally, I was thinking a VHII in the bridge and maybe a Rebel Yell in the neck. Or maybe even an Emerald bridge in the neck.
I tend to use .10 Elixir nanoweb strings, but I replace the .010 with a .011, just because it feels too "slinky."
I like to play anything from Melodic Hard Rock to Technical Death Metal and Progessive/Fusion.
I'm also looking for something that won't give me a strong pick attack, since I tend to use sharp, thick picks.
Ah, one more thing before I forget, I want some decent output, with 11-13 DC Resistance (ideally) for the neck.  :lol:
And something similar, but with different voicing for the bridge.

I haven't got mine yet, but you sound like the kind of tone i wanted, and  Roo here suggested a black dog bridge. he's our local down tuner with his vociferator.

as far as neck, i'd go with something smoother like a neck abraxas if you want hotter paf. and if you plan to use the low B and F#, you need something that won't get flabby, a hotter pickup will kinda get bassier if my experiences are correct so far.

you got the limited ed C-8 Hellraiser didn't you? hellraisers by themselves are fairly dark because of all that mahogany, the maple top doesn't help very much, but it's welcome :D

First off, thanks for the advice!  :D
To tell you the truth, I had automatically ruled out the Abraxas for fear of Santana-esque tone.
I absolutely abhor his tone. :?    No offense to anyone, I just think it sounds....Shall we say, fuzzy and too trebly?
But now you've got me wondering what the differences between the Abraxas neck and bridge are.  :lol:
Yes, the maple might help somewhat. My current (and only) electric right now, an Ibanez flamed maple top, influences the sound of my CS neck and HD bridge noticeably. To the point that the CS sounds very tight and nasally almost.
That's why I tend to shy away from pickups with low or hefty amounts of treble.  :shock:
