Demo of pickups - Trilogy Suite
« on: May 07, 2005, 12:57:16 PM »
OK, apologies that this clip is poor quality - I know jack shitee about recording. The mix is pretty terrible also. I will learn to record one day. There is quite a bit of background noise because my guitar isn't shielded. I tried using bacofoil to do it but I seem to have made the problem worse.

Anyway the clean (barely audible) tone is a clean sound using the Trilogy Suite neck pickup through the Vox AC30tb model on my Tonelab with a bit of delay. The lead tone is my Nailbomb humbucker  in the bridge using the Soldano Model  on the Tonelab with delay.

Oh, and I'm no Joe Satriani so the tune isn't amazing either, as isn't the playing. I just  recorded the clean part and improvised over it.  Been playing over 3 years and I know only one scale; E minor   .

It was recorded into my on board soundcard using Sound Recorder. The guitar is a cr@ppy plywood Peavey Strat copy.

Thanks for reading this stupidly long post.

-Danny  :D

Sounds good and so's the playing. I haven't worked up the nerve to post and clips yet   It doesn't seem to matter what these pickups are recorded with, they still sound great.

I couldn't have done it when I was playing for 3 years. Hell, I'm still not a good soloist :x

Never heard a plywood plank with 6 strings sound that good.

Hey Danny, you've just achieved what the other Nailbomb clips here couldn't -- convinced me about ordering one, LOL... :D

That sounds pretty good to me mate, playing's good too.

If I ever get me mitts on some Trilogy Suites I'll record some random clips.

Wow mate, still good stuff.
Loved the clean thing on the back.

If we're gonna get real picky, you're a little late on one or two of the phrases, but it's still awesome man, keep playing! Good chops, for 3 years.
Glad to see upcoming guitarrists inspired to do some soulfull mellow stuff too.
