Painkiller with Holy Diver or C-Bomb?
« on: July 29, 2009, 11:34:47 PM »
So, I emailed Tim about a Ceramic neck to go with my Bridge HD, and he said that the Painkiller neck would match up with it pretty well. However, I've found my guitar to go well with ceramic pickups, so I'm considering replacing the HD with a C-Bomb sometime in the future (not too much of a rush, and I do have a soft spot for nailbombs). Anyone think a Ceramic Nailbomb would match up with a neck PK, or should I aim for something else?

P.S., is there anything other than raw nickel that would match up with a raw nickel pickup? I love the finish but don't want to mix things up...
BKP Team: Bridge MQ, Black. Bridge HD, Raw Nickel.
To Do: Bridge Nailbomb in chrome (?)

At a GUESS, and it is a guess, I've heard NBs, but not C-Bombs - yes, it will work. Should work, even. Probably. I wouldnt have any apprehensions about it anyway.

Perhaps I'm missing something obvious here, but why not a Painkiller calibrated set?  Ceramic bridge & neck that were designed to go together...

PK set is a good idea, but I'm looking for something more like an overwound CS for the bridge (which the C-bomb is supposed to be somewhat like. Plus, it would be too easy to go for a set, I like making things as complicated as possible.
