hums for SG AC/DC sound
« on: October 30, 2005, 03:20:07 PM »
i have heard that the riff raff hum is for a ac/dc sound and what better guitar to have than a SG to get that sound. Is this true?

Taking in consideration the bands i like ac/dc, iron maiden, metallica, black sabbath and cky which bridge hum should i get?

When you go to order a hum when it says conductor what does 4 and braided 2 mean?

Riff Raffs in an SG is a great combo. Tim has a special wind for them too. The riff raffs will do the AC/DC thing and more.

4con wiring will allow you to do coil splits, phase switching etc. The 2con braided wire is the original Gibson wiring. The braid goes to the back of the pot and the other (center) wire goes to one of the connectors. That's the easy way.
