Advice for London this weekend

Hi all,
Me and the wife are in London this weekend.
Any ideas for pubs/clubs to go to on Friday and Saturday night?
Preferably fairly close to the Euston area, and I'm thinking of any rock bands, or comedians, etc, rather than nightclubs (anything we can pay on the door cos obviously we're too late to buy tickets in advance).

Hi Rich, here's one for you, although it is in Merton which is just south of Battersea.  www.darkmillsfestival.com  It's got bands on all day, and it's free!  In particular are friends of mine who are headlining the event called The Eden House, who are well worth checking out!

you should look at shows around Farringdon.
I bet a bit of time on google will give you the results you need if you dont want to cross the river
